MOON, Pa.--The University of Pittsburgh softball team made it to another championship game in the Robert Morris Invitational, as the Panthers won three games and tied in the final contest over the two-day tournament.
The weekend began with a 4-0 win over Gannon on Saturday. Pitt then turned in a 4-1 win over Cal (Pa.). The next day the Panthers recorded a 10-7 victory over Cal (Pa.), which was highlighted by a walk-off grand slam by junior Sam Card (Miami, Fla./Our Lady of Lourdes/Florida International).
Pitt faced host RMU in the championship contest, where they tied. This is the third consecutive season the Panthers have advanced to the championship game of the RMU Fall Invitational, where they've won back-to-back titles.
