GAME NOTES
*Pitt drops to 6-2 in Big East play and 17-2 overall.
*Pitt falls to 0-13 all-time vs. the nation's No. 1 ranked team. Prior to this evening, the last time Pitt played the No. 1 ranked team was on Jan. 16, 1999 when it faced
*Pitt dropped its second contest on the road this year. It has now won six of its last eight road games.
*Pitt dropped its first contest to a nationally ranked opponent this year. It is now 3-1 overall against nationally ranked teams this season. Pitt has defeated No. 24 Wisconsin, No. 10 Louisville and No. 25 Syracuse.

*Aaron Gray notched his Big East leading 11th double-double of the season with 23 points and 12 rebounds. Gray scored 20-plus points for the fifth time this year, notched double figure scoring for the 15th game and grabbed 10-plus rebounds for the 13th time on the season. It was Gray's second consecutive double-double as he scored 13 points and grabbed a career-high 20 rebounds vs.
*UConn's 43 first half points were the most scored against Pitt in a half this season.
*Pitt converted a season-low two 3-pointers in the game. The Panthers finished a season-low 10.0 percent (2-20) from behind the arc.
*Pitt was outrebounded 40-29 in the contest. It marks just the fourth time this year that Pitt has been outrebounded. The Panthers fall to 2-2 when outrebounded by an opponent.
*Sam Young scored 10 points off the bench. It was the 19th time this year that a Pitt player reached double figures off the bench.
*Pitt fell to 23-29 all-time vs. UConn. It is 4-5 vs. UConn since 2002.
