Men's Swimming and Diving Finishes Fourth On Day One

PRINCETON, NJ -- Pitt's men's swimming and diving team finished fourth with 129 points in day one of the Big Al Princeton Invitational, held at DeNunzio Pool.

In the men's first finals event of the day, the 200 free relay team of senior Jeff Leath (Mechanicsville, Va./New Community), freshman Alex Kubicek (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway and sophomores B.J Conklyn (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) and Patrick Mansfield (Dayton, Ohio/Chaminade-Julienne) finished fourth with a time of 1:23.47.

Leath later placed fifth in the finals of the 50 free (20.54), while junior Chris George (Jacksonville, Fla./The Bolles School) finished seventh in the finals of the 500 free with a time of 4:37.18.

Pitt also placed fourth in the 400 medley relay with a final time of 3:20.20. The relay team consisted of Leath, junior Warren Barnes (Pickering, Ontario/Dunbarton), freshman Geoff Morgan (Mountainville, N.Y./Cornwell Central) and Mansfield.
