For the second time this season Francesca DiMaria registers two triples a game.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va.-For the second time this season, sophomore Francesca DiMaria (Pittsburgh, Pa./Montour) registered a school-record two triples in one game, but it was not enough as the University of Pittsburgh fell to Eastern Michigan University on Saturday, 7-4, at Dot Hicks Field.
At the plate, Pittsburgh (4-8) recorded six hits including a home run by Heather Andrews (Zelienople, Pa./Riverside), the third of her career. Sheena Hellon (Sacramento, Calif./Cordova), Casey Pickard (Newhall, Calif./William S. Hart) and DiMaria each scored a run in the loss. Pickard's run was the 50th of her career, a new Panthers' record.
Meghan Bostick (Colleyville, Texas/Grapevine) started for the Panthers and pitched five innings, allowing seven hits and four runs, with two walks and 12 strikeouts. The strikeout total was the third highest in one game since Pittsburgh began play in 1998. Christa Hunter (Sacramento, Calif./Hiram Johnson West) pitched the final inning for Pittsburgh.
The Panthers continue play this afternoon when they face tournament host Marshall at 3 p.m.
