10/2/2004
NORMAL, Ill. ? Led by senior setter Lindsey Macke, the Pittsburgh volleyball team won a 3-1 match against Indiana State, held at neutral state Illinois State University in Normal, Ill. The game was held there because the Sycamores played the host Redbirds there on Friday evening and the Panthers have a scheduled match there tomorrow.
The Panthers (10-4) earned their seventh win in their last eight matches by jumping out to a 2-0 lead with 30-24 and 30-23 set victories. The Sycamores (6-7) staved off the sweep with a 32-30 game three win before Pittsburgh picked up the match with a 30-22 decision in the fourth set.
