The Pitt Athletics Mental Health Team provides specialized mental health and performance services for all student-athletes. We are committed to fostering an environment that promotes mental wellness in athletics, academics, and beyond. Our team offers holistic care, ranging from stress management to the clinical treatment of anxiety, depression, eating disorders, panic attacks, etc.
What We Do
Student-athletes can meet one-on-one with a counselor in a safe and confidential space. To schedule a session, reach out directly to a counselor or ask your athletic trainer for the online scheduling link.
Specialized Sport Psychiatry and medication management is available for student-athletes who have been prescribed medication prior to Pitt, or who may be exploring psychiatric medication as part of their treatment. Student-athletes should make an appointment with a counselor in order to schedule a psychiatry or medication management appointment.
Pitt Athletics Mental Health offers team-wide and group support for varsity teams or smaller units within teams. Sessions are designed to address the unique challenges of participating student-athletes and aim to provide tangible skills for improving individual and group well-being.
