Tristan Russell began working with Pitt Athletics in September 2022, shortly after graduating from Ball State University. Prior to joining Pitt, Russell interned at the NCAA headquarters in Indianapolis, worked for various professional sports organizations including the Chicago White Sox and Indiana Pacers, and was a lead video producer for the March Madness Live app.
Russell and the Pitt Studios staff produce broadcasts of Pitt sporting events that air on ESPN Networks. He primarily serves as a director, but also works as a producer, technical director, and replay operator. Russell manages a staff of over 100 part-time and student event workers and crews every home event with production personnel. He also manages the ACC Network production internship program during the academic year.
Russell grew up in Naperville, Illinois, and currently resides in Shadyside.
