Seth Graham was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director of Information Technology for the University of Pittsburgh Department of Athletics in November of 2017. He is the primary technology contact for athletics, leading a staff of three additional full-time employees and student-workers. Graham oversees all hardware and software for athletics and maintains departmental storage and athletics’ core infrastructure. He also leads and contributes to the integration of technology in various capital projects across the department.
Graham was the project manager for multiple key facility upgrades in 2019, including 10 new video boards across three athletics facilities in September of 2019. Under his leadership, the Department of Athletics implemented a new high-density Wi-Fi solution for the Petersen Events Center in April of 2019. Following the Wi-Fi project, Graham played a key role in establishing a corporate partnership to enhance the Wi-Fi solution and bring revenue to the department and foster new business in the future.
Since joining Pitt Athletics, Graham has updated databases, streamlined workflows and found new ways to increase productivity for as many units as possible. He also assists in game day operations for football, men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, baseball and softball.
Prior to joining the IT team full-time, Graham began as an intern for Information Technology in Athletics in January of 2014. He accepted the position of graduate assistant for IT after graduating from Pitt. He spent one year as a graduate assistant before being promoted full-time in the summer of 2015. Graham earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Pittsburgh in information science.
Graham is originally from Lancaster, Pa., where his parents, Jack and Kathy, and sister Hillary currently reside.
