Madison Lear joined the University of Pittsburgh athletic department in June 2026 as the Human Resources Coordinator.
Prior to joining Pitt Athletics, Lear interned with the Allegheny County Police Department in 2025, gaining professional experience in investigations, court proceedings and the Medical Examiner's Office, while also supporting administrative operations.
A four-year letterman and captain on Pitt's cheerleading team, Lear was a four-time staff member at Pitt Youth Sports Camps within the spirit program. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in May 2026 with a bachelor of science in psychology and a minor in law and criminal justice. Lear was selected as the 2026 Gold Standard Teammate of the Year at the Panther Choice Awards, an honor voted on by teammates and coaches, and was recognized as a scholar-athlete at the 4.0 Student-Athlete Recognition ceremony.
A Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania native, Lear comes from a family deeply rooted in Pitt Athletics — both of her older sisters were cheerleaders for the Panthers, combining for four years apiece from 2013 to 2019.
