Lucas Roth joined the University of Pittsburgh Athletic Department in February of 2021 as a part-time office/event worker. In February of 2022, Roth was promoted to a full time Ticket Operations Coordinator. In December of 2023, Roth was promoted to Assistant Director, Ticket Operations. While overseeing ticket operations for Women’s Basketball, Volleyball, Men’s and Women’s Soccer and Baseball, Roth also assists with oversight of event staffing and development of student workers.
During his time in the Ticket Office, Roth has served as the primary contact for the NCAA during the 2022 Men’s Soccer College Cup run, 2023 Women’s Soccer Elite 8 run, and 2023 Final Four Volleyball run.
Prior to joining the University of Pittsburgh, Roth worked at Acrisure Stadium as an Event Operations Intern. During his internship, he assisted with gameday/event set up, staffing and external events. Prior to working with Acrisure Stadium, Roth was the Manager of Game Presentation with the Butler BlueSox, overseeing the internship program, on-field events, and in-game activations.
A 2018 graduate of Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Education and Human Development, Roth volunteered across various departments within athletics.
A Pittsburgh native, Roth resides in Shaler Township.

Favorite Sports Moment at Pitt?
The return of the Backyard Brawl during the 2022 Football Season. Seeing how the University community rallied around the team, and the excitement in the Acrisure, was awesome to see.
What is your favorite aspect of working in Pitt’s athletic department?
Seeing how everyone comes together to make the best experience possible for our student athletes, donors, and fans.
What do you love most about working in athletics?
Being able to create memories for families and fans as they come to games. Some of my best memories are going to events with my grandpa, and creating those same memories for others is special.
