Joshua Taylor started at Pitt as the Assistant Athletic Director of Ticket Operations in August 2023 to oversee the ticket operations staff within the Panther Ticket Office.
Taylor joins Pitt Athletics from UC-San Diego as he laid the foundation for the Triton Box Office during UCSD’s transition into Division I Athletics. Prior to that, he started his collegiate athletics career at Tulane University in 2018 as the Assistant Director of Ticket Operations, where he was promoted to Director of Ticket Operations in 2021. He started his ticketing career in his home state of Virginia, with stints in minor league baseball and NFL box offices.
Taylor graduated from James Madison University in 2012 and received his MBA from American Public University in 2019.
Originally from Arlington, VA, Joshua is currently living in the South Side Flats.
Beyond the Bio
What is your favorite aspect of working in Pitt’s athletic department?
I’m so grateful for how helpful everyone has been in preparing and empowering me in this role. Even before we’ve had any major athletic events, I feel included as part of the overall team.
What do you love most about working in athletics?
Besides the opportunity to be around exciting athletic events and travel to different venues, seeing the growth of those you work closely with is always enjoyable. I suddenly have several former colleagues in leadership positions and it’s fulfilling to see their hard work pay off.
