Jim Meyer joined Pitt Sports Marketing powered by JMI Sports in February 2025 as Director of New Partnerships to lead and grow the sales team with Pitt Athletics.
Prior to joining Pitt, Meyer spent 11 seasons with the Pittsburgh Penguins, working in all aspects of the corporate partnerships group. Meyer graduated from Slippery Rock University in 2013 with a degree in Sports Management, and was also a member of the baseball team in 2010.
Meyer currently resides in Jefferson Hills with his wife Angela and three children, Kennedy, Allison, and Jackson.

Favorite Pitt Sports Memory
MJ Devonshire’s pick 6 in the return of the backyard brawl in 2022. I hadn’t heard Acrisure Stadium that loud for any Pitt or Steelers game I had attended there previously.
Hobbies Outside of Work?
I enjoy going to the gym, playing golf, and attending my kid’s activities and events.
What Do You Love Most About Working in Athletics?
The emotions that sports bring out in athletes, fans, and partners are something that I love being a part of my daily life and something I can share with others. The relationships you can build through sports that last far outside of it is very powerful.
