Gerrit Hinsdale joined the Pitt football staff in 2024 as a recruiting analyst, bringing a strong background in talent evaluation, player personnel and relationship-driven recruiting strategy. Before the 2025 season, he was promoted to director of recruiting operations.
In his current role, Hinsdale supports all facets of Pitt’s recruiting operation, including prospect evaluation, campus visit coordination, strategic recruiting communications and collaboration with high school coaches across key recruiting territories.
Prior to returning to Pitt, Hinsdale gained valuable experience in recruiting and player personnel at Western Michigan after serving as a recruiting intern with the Panthers in 2023.
A former quarterback at Washington & Jefferson College, Hinsdale earned his degree in business administration, pairing his on-field experience with a strong foundation in leadership and organizational strategy. He is a native of Clymer, N.Y.
