Dan Lippa joined the University of Pittsburgh athletic department in September of 2024 as Director of Ticket Operations for Men’s Basketball and Women’s Soccer.
Lippa joins Pitt Athletics from Taymar Sales U. with Robert Morris University where he was General Manager of Ticket Sales and Operations. During his tenure with Robert Morris University, he successfully managed ticket sales and operations for Football, Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, Men’s Hockey, and Women’s Hockey.
Prior to RMU, Lippa spent 2 seasons with Duquesne University Athletics as Director of Ticket Operations for Football, Men’s Basketball, and Women’s Basketball where he successfully managed ticket sales and operations during the inaugural season in the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.
Prior to Duquesne, Lippa served as Ticket Operations and Sales Manager for the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra where he managed all ticket operations and oversaw the Patron Services Center. Lippa helped the RPO unveil a streaming concert series and socially distant outdoor performances during COVID which was an integral part in helping the organization continue to provide the gift of music for the greater Rochester, NY community.
A 2012 graduate of St. John Fisher University with a Bachelor of Science degree in sport management, Lippa was a member of Cardinal TV, studied abroad in Florence, Italy, and was a media relations assistant with the Rochester Knighthawks and Rochester Red Wings.
A Rochester, NY native, Dan currently resides in Harmony, PA with his wife Laura and dog Gracie.
Beyond the Bio
What is your favorite thing to do in the city of Pittsburgh?
I enjoy attending Pirates games and concerts at Stage AE, Mr. Smalls Theater, and the cultural district.
What is your favorite aspect of working in Pitt’s athletic department?
All my colleagues are extremely supportive, helpful, and caring. It is a pleasure to come to work everyday with such wonderful people.
Hobbies outside of work?
I enjoy spending time with my wife Laura and dog Gracie, playing hockey and baseball, playing drums, and attending sporting events and concerts.
