Casey Wasserman serves as Pitt’s Director of Player Personnel, a role he assumed in 2026.
Wasserman joined the Panthers after serving as coordinator of scouting at the University of Maryland (2024–26), where he led transfer portal scouting and evaluation efforts. He built and maintained the Terrapins’ portal big board utilizing databases such as QwikU, Telemetry, the NCAA Transfer Portal, Verified Athletics and Pro Football Focus, while assisting with advanced scouting reports for the head coach and coordinating NFL scout visits. He also worked closely with offensive and defensive staffs on weekly scouting reports and assisted in the evaluation and management of prospective student-athletes.
Prior to Maryland, Wasserman spent two seasons (2022–24) with the Tennessee Titans as Coordinator of Corporate Partnerships. While in Nashville, he was mentored within scouting and player personnel operations and executed more than 20 corporate gameday and offseason activations, gaining valuable insight into NFL organizational structure and operations.
Wasserman earned his Master of Science in Finance from the University of Utah’s David Eccles School of Business in 2022, where he was a Division I men’s lacrosse student-athlete and a two-time Athletics Director Honor Roll selection. He received his bachelor’s degree in sport management from Towson University in 2021, graduating as a four-time CAA Commissioner’s Honor Roll honoree and three-time Dean’s List selection.
