Blaire Ford joins Pitt Athletics as the Associate Athletic Director for Administration. As a member of the Pitt Athletics Executive Team, Ford will play an important role in the department's daily operations and execution of its strategic goals. She will be a key athletics liaison for the University's Board of Trustees, Champions Advisory Board and the larger campus community.
Ford joins Pitt from Duke University, where she served the past year as director of internal operations for Blue Devils football. Her oversight touched upon virtually every aspect of the program while working on behalf of Duke's football coaches, support staff and more than 110 student-athletes. This included daily schedule management, team travel, student-athlete communications as well as youth summer football camps.
Prior to Duke, Ford served as director of on-campus football recruiting at the University of Virginia (2018-21). She was instrumental in the Cavaliers' year-round recruiting efforts, coordinating prospect visits and assisting in the development of strategic recruiting communications.
During the 2017 season, Ford was the on-campus recruiting coordinator for Texas A&M football. Working with the Aggies' recruiting director, she helped organize all prospect visits and collaborated with the compliance division to prepare National Letters of Intent (NLI). Ford also worked with the creative department in developing compelling social media content.
Ford additionally owns experience with one of college football's most prestigious games. She was an operations and events intern for the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl during the 2016 season, helping coordinate the annual Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game as well as a College Football Playoff Semifinal.
Ford earned two degrees from Virginia, a bachelor's in biology (2015) and her master's in higher education administration (2016). During that time, she served as the Cavaliers' football recruiting and administration graduate intern.
