2024-2025 Indoor: Gatons ran in three meets for the Panthers this season…Placed seventh at the Penn State National Open in the 3000m with a time of 8:11.34…Ran a 4:11.80 mile in the Nittany Lion Challenge.

2023-24 Indoor: Competed in four indoor meets for the Panthers. Gatons recorded a personal best in the 3000 at the ACC Indoor Track & Field Championships (Feb. 22-24) with a time of 8:05.81, which placed him 24th. He posted a sixth place finish in the 3000 with a time of 8:27.90 at the Nittany Lion Challenge (Jan. 13).

2023 Outdoor: Competed in six outdoor meets for the Panthers. Gatons saw himself record two personal bests in the outdoor season. The first came at the UCF Black and Gold Invite with a 1500 time of 3:53.79. Next, at Penn Relays he posted a 5000 time of 14:12.52.

2022-23 Indoor: Competed in four indoor meets for the Panthers. Gatons posted two personal bests in the indoor campaign with the first coming at Lenny Lyles Invitational Indoor. Here, he tallied a 3000 time of 8:10.61, this saw him place tenth. Later in the season he recorded a new top mile time at 4:11.18, this had him place seventh.

2022 Outdoor: Appeared in two meets for the Panthers… Competed at WVU Stan Romanoski Open (Mar. 18-19) and posted a personal best in the 3000m placing 4^th (8:48.48)… Posted a personal best at Carnegie Mellon University Invitational (Mar. 25-26) finishing in the 2^nd with a time of 14:57.36.

2021-2022 Indoor: Did not compete in any meets as a freshman.

High School: Ran cross country and track at Greensburg Salem for head coach Nathan Snider… helped his team earn the 2018 cross country State Championship… holds the school record in the indoor 3200m (9:29)… posted a career-best time in the 1600m (4:19) as a senior.

Personal: BSon of Kevin and Cheryl Gatons… has two siblings, Sydney and Lilly… enjoys collecting sports memorabilia… his favorite athletes are Lebron James and Matthew Centrowitz… lists his favorite movies as McFarland USA and Hacksaw Ridge… undecided major at Pitt.
