Her freshman year, O'Connell finished 21st individually at cross country states and sixth in the 4x800 meter relay at indoor states ... Her sophomore year she was the team champ as she placed 38th at Nike Cross Northeast Regional, her team placed ninth at Nike Cross Nationals, and she placed sixth at the Penn Relays COA in the 4x800 meter relay ... Her junior year she was a member of the 11th place team at Nike Cross Nationals, placed seventh in the 4xmile at the New Balance Indoor Nationals, and placed sixth in the 4x800 meter relay at the PIAA AAA State meet ... O'Connell's senior year she placed third in the 4x800 meter relay at Indoor States and placed seventh in the 4x800 meter race at the PIAA AAA State meet ...
