Matt Stewart joined the Pitt Staff in September 2022 and enters his first season as the assistant coach of the Panthers.

Education
Campbell University | Assistant Coach | 2018-2022
- Helped guide the Camels to the 2021 and 2022 Big South Conference regular season titles and tournament championship titles.
- The 2021 Big South Conference Championship title marked Campbell’s first NCAA postseason appearance and postseason win since 2009.
- Increased team winning percentage from .481, to .596, to .661 in each of the three full seasons on staff.
University of South Carolina | Volunteer Assistant Coach | 2016-2018
- Member of the coaching staff that was awarded 2018 Southeast Region Coaching Staff of the Year.
- Helped the Gamecocks reach the Super Regionals and earn the No. 9 seed in the NCAA Tournament with a 49-17 overall record.
- Worked closely with Coach Matt Lisle and Coach Calvin Beamon with the development of hitters.
University of Florida | Team Manager, 2013-2015 | Graduate Assistant, 2015-2016
- Assisted the team to two National Championships (2014, 2015) and two SEC Championship titles (2015, 2016).
- Graduate Assistant to the 2015 Coaching Staff of the Year.
- Worked closely with Coaches Tim Walton, Jim Rocha, and Sharonda McDonald.
- Designed and implemented a new bat testing and inventory system.
Education
- Earned a bachelor’s degree in sports management with a minor in business administration from the University of Florida in 2014.
- Received a master's degree in sports management from the University of Florida in 2016.
