Anthony Bricker joined the University of Pittsburgh Sports Medicine Department in April of 2023. Bricker works in the Petersen Sports Complex and serves as the primary Athletic Trainer with the Men’s Soccer team. He is also a preceptor for Pitt’s athletic training program.
Prior to Pitt, Bricker has worked in the Pittsburgh Public School System, which includes Taylor Allderdice and Westinghouse Academy, for four years overseeing all sports. Bricker also served as support staff to the Pittsburgh Steelers during their 2021-2022 season. Before his arrival to Pittsburgh, he also worked at Legend High School in Parker, CO.
Before his career began, Bricker earned his master’s degree in applied Exercise Science with an emphasis on Human Movement Science and Sports Nutrition from Concordia University Chicago in River Forest, IL in 2019. Bricker graduated in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Presentation College in Aberdeen, SD where he worked as an athletic training student with men’s/women’s soccer, baseball, men’s basketball, and the Aberdeen Wings NAHL Hockey team. He also played all four years on the football team earning honors and an invite to South Dakota State’s 2016 Pro Day.
Bricker is a board-certified athletic trainer and licensed through the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine. Bricker also holds a Corrective Exercise Specialist Certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and is certified in Dynamic Release Therapy by
Raised in San Antonio, Texas, attended high school years in Palmer, Alaska, and current hometown of Parker, CO, Bricker resides in Squirrel Hill.
