Son of Carliss Jeter and Laurie Odum
Has five brothers, Carliss, Kyle, Greg, Marcus and Donovan, and one sister, Ainya
Father Carliss played basketball for Beaver Falls and led the Tigers to the WPIAL championship in 1980
Father serves as an assistant coach at Beaver Falls and has helped guide the program to three state titles and five state title appearances ... he also played college basketball at UT-Chattanooga
Wore No. 34 in high school because his father, uncle, younger brother and cousin all wore the same number when they played
Advice to youngsters is “never change who you are to please other people’s insecurities”
Was recruited out of high school by Penn State, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Wisconsin and Pitt
Chose Pitt over Cincinnati, Florida State, Georgetown, Ohio State, Purdue and VCU after electing to transfer from Vanderbilt
Chose Pitt because he felt like he “fit in” and is “closer to home”
