“It is important to me to have a former player and someone who has had the honor of wearing the Pitt jersey on our staff,” said head coach Jeff Capel. “Ronald’s knowledge of game, relationships in the community and with alumni, and passion for Pitt Basketball will be significant assets as we continue to build our culture here at Pitt. He was an outstanding player here at Pitt and will be an outstanding addition to our staff.”
Ramon’s professional playing career included stints in Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and Venezuela. He also represented the Dominican Republic from 2009-19, competing in a number of international competitions including the 2014 FIBA World Cup and 2019 FIBA World Cup.
