Chris Jones enters his first season as a graduate manager with the Pitt basketball program after spending the past five seasons competing for the Panthers. In his current role, Jones is heavily involved in game, opponent and practice video breakdown, practice preparation, recruiting and assisting the coaching staff in the day-to-day operations of the program.
Jones averaged 7.2 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game for the Panthers a year ago. He shot 47.2 percent from the field, while starting in 31 of 32 contests played. The Teaneck, N.J., native finished his career with 792 points, 298 rebounds and 193 assists in 129 games (61 starts). He helped lead Pitt to three postseason appearance, including trips to the NCAA Tournament in 2014 and 2016.
Jones graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2016 with a communications degree.
