Malcolm Robinson enters his second season as a defensive graduate assistant on the Pitt football staff.
Robinson arrived in Pittsburgh after serving as a defensive quality control assistant at the University of Akron during the 2022 season.
Robinson is a former college defensive lineman himself, spending four seasons at Minnesota (2017-20) and a graduate year at Morgan State (2021).
At Minnesota, he was a four-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and member of two bowl champion teams (2018 Quick Lane and 2019 Outback). Robinson additionally earned Academic All-Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) at Morgan State.
A native of Massillon, Ohio, Robinson was a standout at Washington High School, where he was an All-Northeast Inland District performer after collecting 26.5 tackles for loss as a senior.
Robinson received his bachelor’s degree from Minnesota in human resources development in 2020. He earned an MBA from Morgan State in 2021.
