Brad Anderson was named Director of Football Equipment Services at the University of Pittsburgh in 2026 after serving five years at UCF, where he most recently held the title of Assistant Athletic Director for Equipment Operations.
A veteran equipment manager with nearly two decades of experience, Anderson has worked across collegiate athletics, professional football and combat sports. He began his career as a scholarship student manager at Florida State University in 2007. While earning his bachelor’s degree in sport management, he rose to head student manager and completed two training camp internships with the New York Jets.
Following graduation, Anderson spent the 2012 and 2013 seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers before joining the University of Miami’s equipment staff in 2014. During his five years with the Hurricanes, he served in several roles, including Assistant Director of Football Equipment and Head of Olympic Sports Equipment Operations. He also played an integral role in Miami’s transition from Nike to Adidas.
Anderson’s professional experience additionally includes work with the Tampa Bay Vipers of the XFL and Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). At UFC, he managed operations within a 75,000-square-foot apparel warehouse and assisted with the organization’s transition from Reebok to Venum for all UFC events.
In February 2023, Anderson was recognized as the Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA) District 3 Equipment Manager of the Year.
Anderson is married to his wife, Jenifer.
