2023: Played in all 12 games, starting 10 at corner...totaled 26 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, one interception and four pass breakups...had a career-high seven tackles against Louisville...had an interception against Cincinnati...finished career with 60 games played and 44 starts.
2022: Started 12 games at corner, missing one contest (Rhode Island) due to injury…Honorable Mention All-ACC…compiled 24 tackles, one tackle for loss, two interceptions (two touchdowns), one pass breakup and one forced fumble on the year…had pick sixes of 39 yards (Virginia) and 22 yards (Western Michigan)…named to the Pro Football Focus National Team of the Week for his Virginia performance…in addition to his interception return TD, was lauded for his lockdown coverage against the Cavaliers…had a season-high four tackles in three separate games (Georgia Tech, Louisville and Miami)…dropped West Virginia’s Kaden Prather for a two-yard loss after a reception, forcing a fumble that was recovered by teammate Erick Hallett II…Pitt parlayed the turnover into a touchdown and 10-7 second-quarter lead.

2020: Played in 10 games, starting eight at cornerback…compiled 22 tackles, four pass breakups and two interceptions on the season…had interceptions against Louisville and Miami…against the Hurricanes, returned his INT 34 yards to the Miami 1 to set up a Pitt TD…had a career-high five stops against Syracuse...had a personal-best two pass breakups against NC State.
2019: Played in eight games, serving on special teams and as a reserve cornerback…had four tackles on the season…had a season-high three stops against UCF.
2018: Played in four games as a true freshman, preserving a redshirt…appearances came at cornerback against Albany, UCF, Syracuse and Stanford in the Sun Bowl…had a solo tackle against Albany.
HIGH SCHOOL: Compiled 34 tackles, four tackles for loss, two interceptions, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery as a senior at Cardinal Gibbons…also averaged 35 yards per kickoff return (seven for 245 yards)…helped Cardinal Gibbons to an 11-2 mark and the Region 4-5A final…played under Coach Matt DuBuc…rated one of the top 100 overall prospects in Florida by Rivals...also a track and field letterman.
PERSONAL: Marquis Trevon Williams, born 11/2/98, is the son of Berthea Carter and Caleb Williams…first name is pronounced "mar-QUEZ"...has one brother and one sister…uncle, Tyrone Carter, was a two-time All-American at Minnesota and won the 1999 Thorpe Award as college football’s top defensive back…Carter played 11 NFL seasons (2000-10), including six with the Steelers (2004-09), and won two Super Bowls while in Pittsburgh…earned his bachelor’s degree in administration of justice and is now pursuing a second major in communication.
