2021: Played in one game, making a relief appearance against New Hampshire.

2020: Enrolled at the University of Pittsburgh in January 2020 following his transfer from Arizona State and participated in the Panthers’ abbreviated spring drills…established himself as the top backup to starter Kenny Pickett…went on to play in six games and made two starts when Pickett was out due to injury (Miami and Notre Dame)…threw for 402 yards on 35-of-78 passing (45%) with one touchdown and three interceptions on the year…in his first Pitt start, completed 22-of-46 passes for 277 yards and a touchdown at Miami…his 277 passing yards marked the most by a Pitt quarterback in their starting debut since John Turman threw for 316 yards and two TDs against Penn State on Sept. 11, 1999…made his second start of the season the following week against Notre Dame, completing 10-of-27 passes for 101 yards and three INTs.

AT ARIZONA STATE (2019): As a freshman for the Sun Devils, Yellen played in one contest, preserving a redshirt…lone appearance for the Sun Devils was a Nov. 9 starting assignment against USC…completed 64% of his passes (28 of 44) for 292 yards and four touchdowns with two interceptions in a 31-26 setback to the Trojans…he posted those impressive numbers despite suffering a shoulder injury early in the contest.

HIGH SCHOOL: As a two-year starter at Mission Viejo (Calif.) High School, Yellen achieved a 22-3 record (.880) while completing 61% of his passes (360 of 595) for 6,131 yards and 57 touchdowns against just 14 interceptions…as a senior, he completed 227-of-351 passes (65%) for 3,516 yards and 27 touchdowns…played under Coach Chad Johnson…selected to play in the prestigious Under Armour All-American Game…rated the nation’s No. 3 pro-style quarterback by ESPN, No. 9 by 247Sports and No. 22 by Rivals…named to the ESPN 300 (No. 63).
