HIGH SCHOOL: A four-year football letterman at Bluefield under Coach Fred Simon…enjoyed a prolific senior season in leading team to a 14-0 record and the West Virginia Class AA championship…as a bruising fullback, rushed for 1,154 yards and scored 27 touchdowns (24 rushing and three receiving)…at linebacker, compiled 130 tackles and returned two interceptions for TDs…his amazing nine-yard touchdown run in the state championship game—where he broke at least seven tackles in route to the goal line—was featured on ESPN’s Top 10 Plays…selected first team All-Class AA.
PERSONAL: Jason Edwards, born 6/13/99, is the son of Robyne Ramsey and Jae Edwards…has three sisters and two brothers…enrolled in the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences.
