2014: Played in all 13 games, lettering for the fourth consecutive season...carried 51 times for 272 yards (5.3 avg.) and two touchdowns...had 12 receptions for 125 yards (10.4 avg.) and one TD...had a season-high 75 yards on 11 carries (6.8 avg.) when he came on in relief for injured starter James Conner against Syracuse...rushed for 60 yards on 12 carries (5.0 avg.) at Miami...had three carries for 17 yards, including a 12-yard touchdown, in the first half against Houston in the Armed Forces Bowl before leaving the game with a knee injury.
2013: Started all 13 games at tailback...finished second on the team in rushing with 797 yards and seven touchdowns on 171 carries (4.7 avg.)...also had 10 catches for 58 yards (5.8 avg.) and a TD...rushed for a career-high 240 yards and three TDs on 30 carries (8.0 avg.) to lead Pitt to a 35-24 win over Old Dominion...had 141 yards and a TD on 21 carries (6.7 avg.) vs. Miami...his TD vs. the Hurricanes came on a 45-yard run, the longest rush of his career...had 101 yards and two TDs on 14 carries (7.2 avg.) vs. New Mexico, a 49-27 victory...lone TD catch of the season was an eight-yard reception vs. North Carolina.
2012: Played in all 12 regular-season games but missed the BBVA Compass Bowl vs. Ole Miss due to a left shoulder injury...had 141 rushing yards on 29 carries (4.9 avg.) and three TDs on the year...had season-high 52 rush yards (on six attempts) vs. Gardner-Webb...also had a season-high two rushing TDs vs. Gardner-Webb (3 and 11 yards).
2011: Initially slated to redshirt, Bennett was thrust into duty against Cincinnati Nov. 5 after Ray Graham was lost to a season-ending knee injury the week prior against Connecticut...played in the season's final five games, starting two (Syracuse and BBVA Compass Bowl vs. SMU)...had 237 yards rushing and two TDs on 58 carries (4.1 avg.) for the year...made his first career start in the regular-season finale against Syracuse when senior Zach Brown was out due to injury...had a team-high seven receptions for 61 yards (8.7 avg.) against Syracuse, including a 22-yard scoring reception on Pitt's first play from scrimmage...rushed for 51 yards on 13 carries (3.9 avg.) vs. the Orange...tied his season high with 69 yards on 16 carries (4.3 avg.) and a TD at West Virginia...also rushed for 69 yards and a TD on 13 carries (5.3 avg.) at Louisville...had six carries for 26 yards (4.3 avg.) against Cincinnati in his first collegiate action.
HIGH SCHOOL: Rushed for nearly 1,400 yards as a senior despite missing four games due to an ankle injury...averaged 9.6 yards per carry on the season, rushing for 1,372 yards and 14 touchdowns on 143 attempts...had five receptions for a whopping 182 yards -- an average of 36.4 yards per catch -- and three TDs...also threw a touchdown pass...finished the year in a flurry, rushing for 423 yards and four touchdowns in his final two games to lead Booker T. Washington to the Oklahoma Class 5A state championship with a 13-1 record...in the state title game against East Central, rushed for 222 yards on 27 carries (8.2 avg.) to lead BTW to a 32-3 victory...accounted for three touchdowns in the win, rushing for two and throwing for another...in the state semifinals, had 201 yards and two TDs on 18 carries (11.2 avg.) against Guthrie...selected to the Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State Team...Tulsa World All-Metro...played under Coach Darrell Hall...also a three-year letterman in track...state champion long jumper.
