2022: Joined Pitt as a June transfer from Georgia Tech…did not play in any games.
AT GEORGIA TECH (2019-21): Played in 22 career games with eight starts at tight end over three seasons at Georgia Tech…compiled three-year totals of 14 receptions for 102 yards (7.3 avg.) and one touchdown.
PREP SCHOOL: Spent a postgraduate academic year (2018-19) at the Hun School…as a member of the football team during the 2018 season, compiled 12 catches for 282 yards (23.5 avg.) and a touchdown over six games…played under Coach Todd Smith…rated one of the nation’s top 30 tight end prospects by ESPN.
HIGH SCHOOL: A standout two-sport athlete (baseball and basketball) who did not begin playing football until mid-fall of his senior year at Shawnee in 2017…played in the season’s final six games (catching six passes for 94 yards) and helped team to the South Jersey championship… played under Coach Tim Gushue…a 1,600-point scorer in basketball who led his team to the state championship as a senior...was committed to Lafayette College as a baseball prospect before electing to pursue football at the prep school level.
PERSONAL: Dylan George Deveney, born 1/20/00, is the son of George and Fran Deveney…has one brother and one sister…brother, Connor, is a sophomore tight end at Richmond…earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Georgia Tech and is now enrolled in Pitt’s Katz Graduate School of Business.
