2021: Played in 12 games, starting 11 at defensive end…Honorable Mention All-ACC…compiled 41 tackles, 3.5 TFLs and 2.5 sacks on the year…twice collected a season-high six tackles against Virginia and Wake Forest (ACC Championship Game)…had 2.5 TFLs and two sacks against Virginia…had five tackles and 1.5 TFLs at Tennessee…posted four stops in three additional contests (Clemson, Duke and North Carolina)…selected a Pitt captain by his teammates.
2020: Played in all 11 games, starting two at defensive end…starting assignments came in the opener against Austin Peay and the season finale at Georgia Tech…totaled 18 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, three sacks and a fumble recovery…had a season-high four stops with a TFL at Miami…had three tackles, two TFLs and a sack at Georgia Tech…had three stops and an assisted TFL against Notre Dame…also had sacks against Syracuse and Florida State…recovered a fumble against Syracuse...named to the All-ACC Academic Football Team for the second consecutive year.
2019: Started all 13 games at defensive end and compiled 38 tackles, 10.5 TFLs, 5.5 sacks and a fumble recovery…had a season-high six stops in three different contests (Virginia, UCF and the Quick Lane Bowl against Eastern Michigan)…named to the Pro Football Focus ACC Team of the Week for his performance against North Carolina…had five stops, including two TFLs and a sack in the overtime win over the Tar Heels…had 1.5 sacks in the UCF victory…had key fumble recovery at Duke (forced by Patrick Jones II) that Pitt parlayed into a TD in the eventual 33-30 victory…named to the All-ACC Academic Football Team.
2018: Played in 13 games, serving as a reserve defensive end and on special teams…totaled five tackles and one TFL on the year…twice had a season-high two stops (Albany and UCF)…had TFL assists against UCF and Virginia Tech.
2017: Enrolled at the University of Pittsburgh in January 2017 following his early graduation from Deerfield Beach and participated in spring drills…did not play in any games and redshirted.
HIGH SCHOOL: Despite not playing football until his junior year at Florida Class 8A program Deerfield Beach, Alexandre attracted considerable recruiting interest as a long and athletic defensive line prospect…rated one of the top 25 defensive end prospects in Florida by Scout…helped Deerfield Beach to a 20-5 record (.800) over his two seasons as a defensive line starter…as a senior, helped the Bucks to a 10-3 record and the semifinals of the Class 8A state playoffs…All-Broward County 8A-6A Honorable Mention…played under Coach Jevon Glenn…before transitioning to football, was a standout basketball player.
PERSONAL: Deslin Alexandre, born 6/11/98, is the son of Marise Saint-Louis and Destine Alexandre…has three sisters and one brother…earned his bachelor's degree in communication and enrolled in Pitt's Katz Graduate School of Business.
