2018: Joined Pitt as a graduate transfer walk-on defensive back…played in 11 games in special teams capacities to letter…had two tackles on the season (one each in the Virginia and Virginia Tech games).
AT BUCKNELL (2014-17): Was an All-Patriot League cornerback at Bucknell…made 25 career starts for the Bison…set a school record with a 95-yard interception return for a touchdown against Lafayette…the “pick six” came in overtime and gave Bucknell a 13-7 victory…had two career INT returns for touchdowns (also had a 64-yarder against Marist) and totaled six interceptions overall…three-time member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
HIGH SCHOOL: A three-sport standout at Franklin Regional in football, basketball and baseball…a decorated defensive back and all-purpose player for the Panthers under Coach Greg Botta...All-Greater Allegheny Conference (first team)…Pittsburgh Post-Gazette East “Fabulous 22”…Pittsburgh Tribune Review East “Terrific 25”…Pennsylvania Football News All-State (third team).
PERSONAL: Colin Regan Jonov, born 6/18/96, is the son of Dan and Carrie Luko…has two brothers and one sister…sister, Jillian, played soccer at Washington & Jefferson…father played baseball at Washington & Jefferson…earned his bachelor’s degree from Bucknell in economics…enrolled in Pitt’s Katz Graduate School of Business.
