Taylor Wilhelm enters his fifth season as director of creative media for Pitt football and plays an invaluable role in the Panthers’ graphics, social media and recruiting initiatives. Wilhelm’s talents and artistic vision have made these efforts both impactful and buzzworthy.
Wilhelm’s creativity helped showcase seven first team All-Americans over the past three seasons at Pitt, including 2022 unanimous All-America defensive tackle Calijah Kancey.
He was also integral in the promotion of three major positional award winners in 2021: quarterback Kenny Pickett (Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award), wide receiver Jordan Addison (Biletnikoff Award) and long snapper Cal Adomitis (Patrick Mannelly Award).
Wilhelm arrived at Pitt already boasting exceptional credentials in creative branding and social media promotions. He previously was the director of new media for Iowa State football for three seasons (2016-18) and also spent one year as a football video graduate assistant at Toledo (2015).
A 2015 graduate of Malone University in Canton, Ohio, Wilhelm earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting and business administration.
A four-year member of the Malone football team, he lettered twice as a linebacker and was a recipient of the program’s John Thomas Unsung Hero Award. Wilhelm additionally was named to the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) All-Academic Team.
Married, his wife’s name is Shannon.
