James Penn enters his second season as Pitt’s assistant director of football video services. He joined the Panthers prior to the 2021 ACC championship season.
Penn is highly instrumental in all aspects of the Panthers’ football video operations, including the compilation and management of practice and game video.
Prior to his Pitt tenure, Penn worked in video operations for University of Missouri Athletics, first as an undergraduate student assistant and later as a football video intern. He was honored as the Tigers’ Video Student of the Year for the 2019 season.
Penn is a 2020 graduate of Missouri with a bachelor’s degree in parks, recreation and sport. A perennial Dean’s List student, he was a recipient of the Mizzou Excellence Award.
