Christian Borak enters his first year as Assistant Director of Business Operations at Pitt.
Borak comes to the Athletic Department from Pitt’s football program, where he served as the Director of Football Operations for the 2022 season. In this role, Borak ran the day-to-day operations for the Panthers and helped them earn a 9-4 record and a Sun Bowl victory.
Borak arrived in Pittsburgh from Sam Houston State, where he served in diverse roles for the Bearkats’ football program, a perennial power at the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) level.
Borak joined Sam Houston in January 2021, during its preparations for a spring football season necessitated by the pandemic. A football operations and recruiting assistant, he additionally was a lead administrative aide for head coach K.C. Keeler, a multiple-time National Coach of the Year honoree.
Keeler would ultimately elevate Borak to director of football operations, a role that gave him significant oversight of the program’s budget, travel coordination, daily team itineraries, recruiting and overall student-athlete development.
During Borak’s two-season tenure, Sam Houston compiled a remarkable 21-1 record. The Bearkats won the 2021 FCS national championship with a stirring 23-21 win over top-ranked South Dakota State in the title game.
Prior to Sam Houston, Borak was a player personnel assistant at UCF (2020), where he was highly active in the Knights’ recruiting regimens and prospect visits.
His initial appointment in football administration was as an operations intern at Youngstown State (2019).
Borak earned his bachelor’s degree from UCF in business administration in 2020. He previously attended Ave Maria University and was a football team captain.
A Wesley Chapel, Florida, native, Borak currently resides in Squirrel Hill with his fiancé Hannah.
