Chase Gallagher, a former linebacker and team captain for Alderson Broaddus University, enters his third season as a recruiting analyst with the Pitt football program.
As part of Pitt’s recruiting office, he is involved in the Panthers’ year-round recruiting regimens and communications.
Gallagher spent the 2019 season as linebacker coach at Alderson Broaddus. In addition to his positional responsibilities, he coordinated the Battlers’ social media efforts.
Prior to AB, Gallagher served two seasons (2017-18) at Coastal Carolina. He was a recruiting analyst his initial season before moving into a defensive quality control post. While assisting with the Chanticleers’ defensive line, Gallagher had the opportunity to work with Consensus All-America defensive end Tarron Jackson.
Over the 2015-16 seasons, Gallagher coached the linebackers for Massachusetts Maritime Academy. He oversaw the development of Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Defensive Player of the Year Marshall McCarthy, one of the most prolific tacklers in school history. McCarthy was a 2016 finalist for the Cliff Harris Award, presented to the nation’s small college defensive player of the year.
Gallagher is a cum laude graduate of Alderson Broaddus with a bachelor’s degree in sports management. As a senior, he was honored as AB’s Male Student-Athlete of the Year.
