Chad Bogard, who boasts experience at the collegiate and professional levels of football, is in the seventh year of his second tenure with Pitt's football video department.
Owning extensive and diverse experience in the high-tech world of football video, Bogard returned to Pittsburgh in 2017 after working as director of video operations for the football program at Rice University.
In addition to his responsibilities with the Panthers, Bogard was part of a select committee of video professionals that created a video exchange platform used by Division I (FBS and FCS) football programs nationwide.
Bogard previously served at Pitt as football video coordinator from 2001-08. He was twice named the Big East Conference’s Video Coordinator of the Year by the Collegiate Sports Video Association (CSVA) while with the Panthers.
Following his initial Pitt tenure, Bogard worked in the National Football League for seven seasons (2009-15) as video director for the Cleveland Browns.
Bogard had two prior stints in NFL video offices, serving with the New Orleans Saints (1997-98) and Browns (1999-2000). He additionally worked as an assistant video coordinator with the Scottish Claymores of the World League of American Football (WLAF) in 1997.
A 1996 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, Bogard earned his bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism. As an undergraduate, he worked as a training camp intern for the Kansas City Chiefs from 1991-95. Following graduation, he served a full-season internship during the Chiefs’ 1996-97 campaign.
Bogard and his wife, Renee, have four children: Kyler, Marco, Ava and Emily.
