2021 Cal Adomitis Honors & Awards:
- Patrick Mannelly Award Winner (top collegiate senior long snapper in the Football Bowl Subdivision)
- AFCA All-America Team (first team)
- Blue-Gold Award Winner (presented to the male and female senior student-athletes who best represent the Pitt student-athlete ideal based on academic scholarship, athletic achievement, leadership qualities and citizenship)
2020: Concluded his fourth season as Pitt’s starting long snapper for punts and PAT/field goals…played in all 11 contests, running his streak to 50 consecutive game appearances…tabbed by Phil Steele as a first-team All-ACC long snapper and Honorable Mention All-American…semifinalist for the Patrick Mannelly Award, presented to the nation’s top long snapper…had his lone tackle of the season against Austin Peay on punt coverage...named to the All-ACC Academic Football Team.
2019: Played in all 13 contests and totaled four tackles on punt coverage…had a season-high two tackles at Virginia Tech.
2018: Played in all 14 games…totaled four tackles (all solo) on punt coverage…had a season-high two stops against Stanford in the Sun Bowl.
2017: Seized Pitt’s starting long snapper duties as a true freshman…played in all 12 games, handling snaps for punts and PAT/field goals…had two tackles, recording punt coverage stops in the Syracuse and Virginia Tech games.
HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered as a tight end and long snapper for perennial power Pittsburgh Central Catholic…as a senior, helped the Vikings to a 14-2 record, the WPIAL Class 6A championship and the PIAA final…his junior year, the team went 15-1 and won both the WPIAL and PIAA championships…played under Coach Terry Totten.
PERSONAL: Callen James Adomitis, born 7/9/98, is the son of Andy and Katherine Adomitis…has two brothers…his brother, Graham, was a first-team All-Ivy League tight end at Princeton and a Tigers' team captain…Cal served as Pitt’s president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)…earned his bachelor’s degree in economics and is now enrolled in Pitt’s Katz Graduate School of Business...in October 2021, Adomitis launched "Cal's Kids," an initiative to raise $94,000 for UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh...the dollar total was inspired by his No. 94 jersey number, but the effort ultimately raised nearly $115,000.
