2017: Played in 11 games, starting five…totaled 13 tackles on the year…had a career-high four stops and an eight-yard TFL at Syracuse.

2016: Played in 11 games, making four starts in his first active season at Pitt...started four of the final five games of the season...starting assignments came against Miami, Clemson, Syracuse and Northwestern (Pinstripe Bowl)...totaled 13 tackles, two TFLs and 1.5 sacks on the year...had a season-high three stops against Miami, Syracuse and Northwestern...had a three-yard sack, the first of his career, at Miami...made a critical stop in the Clemson victory, stopping Wayne Gallman on 3rd-and-1 for no gain with just over a minute to go...the Panthers then held on fourth down, setting the stage for Pitt's game-winning field goal.

2015: Did not play in any games and redshirted following his transfer from junior college.

AT DEAN (2013-14): Played defensive end at Dean (Mass.) College during the 2013 and 2014 seasons…first team All-Northeast Football Conference…led Dean with 13.5 TFLs and eight sacks during the 2014 season...played under Coach Todd Vasey.

HIGH SCHOOL: As a senior at Miami’s Immaculata-La Salle, collected 48 tackles and 10 sacks….played defensive end and tight end under Coach Willie Trimmer.

PERSONAL: Allen Maurice Edwards, born 5/22/94, is the son of Josephine Edwards and stepson of Obie Dunn…has one brother, Terrill Hanks, who is a defensive back at New Mexico State…administration of justice major.
