Panthers United: DEI Event
In alignment with ACC Unity Week and the NCAA Diversity & Inclusion Campaign, Panthers United held a DEI-focused event aimed at fostering unity among student-athletes within their teams and communities. The gathering provided a space for open dialogue and education on the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
The evening included interactive activities like:
- Perspective-Building Exercises: Small group discussions focused on addressing scenarios involving cultural misunderstandings and barriers to inclusion.
- Panel Discussions: Student-Athletes shared personal experiences with identity and inclusion in sports, emphasizing the importance of empathy and allyship.
- Community Brainstorming: Student-Athletes collaborated on actionable ideas for promoting unity within teams and the broader community.
Student-Athletes left with new perspectives and practical steps to foster an inclusive environment both on and off the field. The event highlighted the importance of collective efforts required to build stronger, more unified communities.
