2018: Lettered for the fourth consecutive season…after spending his initial four years as a walk-on, was awarded a scholarship prior to his final campaign…played in eight games, making one start (Virginia Tech).

2017: Played in six games on special teams…had a solo tackle on the kickoff cover unit at Duke.

2016: Played in nine games on special teams.

2015: Played in seven games on special teams to letter in his first active season.

2014: Joined team as a training camp walk-on and redshirted.

HIGH SCHOOL: An all-district wide receiver at Jesuit College Prep under Coach Brandon Hickman...compiled 1,069 yards and 13 touchdowns on 66 receptions as a senior (16.2 avg.)...helped team to a 19-7 record (.731) his final two varsity seasons, including a pair of bi-district championships and one area title...also lettered in track and field...chairman and co-founder of the American/African Outreach Society (AAOS).

PERSONAL: Kellen Loftin McAlone, born 5/17/95, is the son of Michael and JoAnne McAlone...has one sister...earned his bachelor's degrees in business and communication and enrolled in Pitt's Katz Graduate School of Business.
