2021: Selected All-ACC (second team)…played in all 14 games, starting 11…compiled 38 receptions for 451 yards (11.9 avg.) and six touchdowns…his six scores were the most by a Pitt tight end since 2009 (Dorin Dickerson, 10)…had a career-high six catches (for 43 yards) at Syracuse…had a career-high 58 receiving yards (on five catches) with a TD against Massachusetts…caught a personal-best two touchdowns against Western Michigan…accounted for the game-winning score against North Carolina, catching an 11-yard pass from Kenny Pickett on the initial possession of overtime that gave the Panthers a 30-23 victory…served as an offensive captain against Michigan State in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl…selected to play in the East-West Shrine Bowl.
2020: Enrolled at the University of Pittsburgh in January 2020 as a graduate transfer from the University of Florida and participated in the Panthers’ abbreviated spring drills…was limited to one game (Sept. 19 against Syracuse) due to injury…had one catch for six yards against the Orange.
AT FLORIDA (2018-19): Played in 25 games over two seasons for the Gators, catching nine passes for 108 yards (12.0 avg.)…he also completed 2-of-2 passes for 19 yards on gadget plays.
AT JEFFERSON COLLEGE (2017-18): Played baseball for Jefferson College in Missouri during the 2017-18 season…appeared in 11 games, making five starts…notched 27 strikeouts in 16.2 innings pitched…selected in the 34th round of the 2018 Major League Baseball Draft by the San Francisco Giants.
HIGH SCHOOL: A standout pass catcher, compiling 52 receptions for 745 yards (14.3 avg.) and 13 touchdowns as a senior at Mill Valley…helped the Jaguars to a 12-1 record and the 2015 state championship…played under Coach Joel Applebee.
PERSONAL: Lucas Scott Krull, born 7/11/98, is the son of Jon and Diana Krull…has one sister…father played football at Kansas State, while his mother was an All-America basketball player for the Wildcats…earned his bachelor’s degree from Florida in arts and literature with a major in African American studies…completed his MBA in Pitt’s Katz Graduate School of Business.
