Giandonato Named to All-ACC Third Team

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Junior attacker Kaitlyn Giandonato was named to the All-ACC Third Team Tuesday afternoon. The Pennsylvania native becomes the sixth Panther to earn All-ACC honors in program history.
The selection marks the first time Giandonato has earned postseason recognition by the conference. Giandonato was a key contributor to a historic Pitt season, helping the Panthers to nine wins and four ACC victories, both program records. She earned ACC Co-Offensive Player of the Week and IWLCA National Offensive Player of the Week honors after recording six points in Pitt's win over then-No. 14 Duke in February, the highest-ranked win in program history. She finished the year with three game-winning goals, 46 goals on the season to tie the single-season program record, and 106 career points, making her just the fourth Panther in program history to reach the century mark. She is third all-time in program history in goals with 84.
