Pitt Earns Fourth Straight Win to Cap Regular Season

PITTSBURGH – Pitt women's lacrosse closed the regular season with a fourth straight win, defeating Robert Morris 15-10 Wednesday at Highmark Stadium.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The first quarter was a back-and-forth affair, with the teams exchanging goals and finishing the period tied at three. Pitt took control in the second, outscoring the Colonials 4-2 to take a 7-5 lead into halftime.
The Panthers dominated the third quarter, scoring six of the seven goals in the period to push the lead to 13-6. Robert Morris trimmed the deficit with four fourth-quarter goals, while Pitt added two of its own to close out the 15-10 victory.
Kaitlyn Giandonato led the way with four goals and three assists for seven points. Avery Moon added four goals and an assist. Gigi Leonzi scored twice and added an assist, and Riley Ebersole contributed two goals. Aidan Carr dominated the draw circle, winning 13 of Pitt's 23.

- Pitt closes the regular season with four straight wins and its first winning season in program history.
- The Panthers finish with four ACC wins, a new program single-season record for conference victories.
- Giandonato's four goals move her season total to 46 and career total to 88.
- Moon's four goals bring her season total to 35 and career total to 73. Her three assists on the day give her 30 on the season, extending her own Pitt single-season assists record.
- Carr's 13 draw controls push her season total to 127, a new Pitt single-season record.
