Panthers Already Making History at NCAA Championships

ATLANTA, Ga. — Through the first half of the 2026 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, Pitt's women have earned three All-American Honorable Mention honors and made program history in the process.
The 800 medley relay of Avery Kudlac, Sydney Gring, Mary Clarke and Claire Jansen finished 12th in 7:00.57, becoming the first Pitt women's relay to score at the NCAA Championships in 39 years. The quartet earned All-American Honorable Mention recognition for the effort.
Gring added an individual honor in the 100 butterfly, placing 16th in 51.33 to claim All-American Honorable Mention. She is joined in the record books by the 200 free relay of Kudlac, Mary Clarke, Jansen and Gring, which also earned All-American Honorable Mention with a 16th-place finish in 1:28.46.
Competition continues through Saturday with several Panthers remaining in action.
