Pitt Diving Qualifies Five to NCAA Championships

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Pitt diving competed in the NCAA Zone A Championships at Lejeune Hall, with five earning NCAA berths across the three-day meet.
Noah Bernard opened the meet with a first-place finish in the 3-meter on Day 1, claiming the event title out of the field. Ayla Debowsky placed ninth among 86 competitors, earning first alternate status.
Bernard added a second NCAA qualification on Day 2, securing his spot in the 1-meter. Chase Marafioto also positioned himself for a potential 1-meter and platform bid, needing a top-four finish in platform on the final day to lock in both events.
Day 3 delivered results across the board. Marafioto took second in platform, confirming his NCAA spots in both the 1-meter and platform. Bernard also qualified in platform, giving him berths in all three events. On the women's side, Mariana Osorio Mendoza placed third in platform to earn an NCAA spot, followed by Jess Vega in fourth and Cassie Guerrera in sixth, both securing platform qualifications. The three women's NCAA berths represent the most in program history.
