Louis Earns Phil Steele All-America Honors

PITTSBURGH – Pitt linebacker Kyle Louis Louis has been named a Phil Steele Second Team All-American, the publication announced this week.
In 11 starts as a redshirt junior, Louis compiled 81 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, two fumble recoveries, one forced fumble and two interceptions.
The East Orange, N.J. native earned Second Team All-ACC and Associated Press First Team All-ACC honors for his play this season.
Last year, Louis became the first sophomore defensive player at Pitt to earn First Team All-America from an NCAA-recognized selector since Hugh Green in 1978. It marked the 100th First Team All-America citation in Pitt football history.
Louis has totaled 201 tackles, 25.5 tackles for loss, 10 sacks and six interceptions throughout his Pitt career.
