
Kenny Johnson Named to 2025 Paul Hornung Award Watch List

PITTSBURGH— For the second consecutive year, Pitt wide receiver and return specialist Kenny Johnson has been named to the preseason watch list for the 2025 Paul Hornung Award presented by Texas Roadhouse, the Louisville Sports Commission announced Thursday.
The Paul Hornung Award, now in its 15th season, is annually presented to the most versatile player in major college football. Johnson, a dynamic junior playmaker for the Panthers, is recognized for his ability to impact the game as a receiver, returner and all-around threat.
Last season, Johnson played in all 13 games, starting 12, and had 46 catches for 537 yards (11.7 avg.) and three touchdowns. The York, Pa., native averaged 20.9 yards per kickoff return (22 for 459 yards) and 6.5 per punt return (10 for 65 yards), while his combined 524 kick return yards led the ACC and ranked 13th nationally.
Johnson is one of approximately 50 players named to the prestigious preseason list.
