PITTSBURGH – Senior Natalie Voorhees was named to the West/Midwest All-Region Second Team, as was announced by the IWLCA Friday morning.
This is the first all-region accolade for the defender from Mount Airy, Maryland who completed her Panther career this spring after four years wearing the blue and gold. Voorhees finds herself in the record books third all-time in starts (52), sixth in games played (61), second in ground balls (86) and third in caused turnovers (50). Her 38 ground balls in 2025 mark the second-best single-season performance, while her 23 caused turnovers are tied for third in Pitt history in one year. Earlier this spring, Voorhees set the single-game records for ground balls (7) and caused turnovers (6) in a win over Liberty on March 12.
This is the first time since 2022 that a Panther was named to an All-Region team. In Pitt's inaugural season, goalie Paulina DiFatta and attacker Paige Petty were named to the West/Midwest Second Team.
The IWLCA selected 128 student-athletes in Division I to All-Region teams for 2025. These student-athletes are now eligible to be named to a national IWLCA All-American team, which will be announced on May 24.
The Panthers' concluded their fourth season at 8-8 overall, including two ACC wins over California and No. 25 Notre Dame.
