
Pitt Routs Boston College, 93-67, In Regular Season Finale

PITTSBURGH – Pitt delivered a dominating first half performance en route to a 93-67 win over Boston College on Senior Night at the Petersen Events Center. Jaland Lowe recorded 15 points and 10 assists for his team-leading fifth double-double, while Cameron Corhen and Brandin Cummings each scored 16 points to lead the Panthers.
Pitt's 26-point win was the fourth largest in ACC play. The Panthers improved to 17-14 on the season with an 8-12 mark in the ACC. Ishmael Leggett added 14 points and eight rebounds, while going 4-of-7 from three-point range.
Pitt used an 11-0 run over a span of 3:24 to grab a 15-4 lead at the 13:21 mark of the opening half. Leggett drilled a corner three off a Zack Austin offensive rebound before Cummings knocked down a wing three in transition and made all three free throws after being fouled on a long attempt the next time down the floor.
Cummings and Amsal Delalic hit threes on consecutive possessions as Pitt pushed ahead to a 30-12 lead and forced a Boston College timeout with 6:52 remaining in the half. Pitt continued to pour it on the Eagles on both ends of the floor grabbing a 48-19 lead for its largest halftime lead (29) of the season.
Leggett knocked down three three-pointers and scored 11 points to go along with six rebounds in the opening half. Corhen added 10 points with the freshman guard tandem of Cummings (9) and Delalic combining for 16 points.
Boston College came out of the break and chipped the deficit down to 21 points before Lowe and Leggett made consecutive threes to send the Panthers into the under 12 media timeout with a 67-40 advantage. Pitt extended the lead to 31 points as Jorge Diaz Graham drilled a wing three and Lowe hit Austin to a finish in the lane for his 10th assist of the game.
Pitt carried a 20+ point lead for the final 24:30 of action and led by as much as 33 before Boston College closed on a 7-0 run.
Lowe was an efficient 4-of-8 from the field and 6-of-6 from the foul line, while committing just one turnover in 35 minutes of action. Corhen went 7-of-10 from the field to record his 20th double-figure scoring game of the season.
Cummings knocked down three three-pointers and added a season-high five assists while making his third start of the year.
Pitt shot 50 percent (30-of-60) from the field, including 40 percent (12-of-30) from three-point range. The Panthers also dominated the glass with a 37-29 rebounding advantage.
Elijah Strong led four Eagles in double-figures with 14 points. Boston College closes the season 12-19 overall and 4-16 in the ACC.
FIRST HALF LOCKDOWN
Pitt held Boston College to an opponent season-low 19 points in the first half. The Eagles were just 7-of-25 (.280) from the field, including 1-of-11 (.091) from three-point range. The Panthers also forced nine turnovers in the opening 20 minutes of action.
BALL MOVEMENT
The Panthers finished with 21 assists (its most in ACC play) as the backcourt trio of Lowe, Cummings, and Leggett combined for 17 assists with just three turnovers. Pitt finished the game with eight turnovers for its 14th game with fewer than 10 turnovers.

Pitt controlled the specialty stats on the night posting advantages in points off turnovers (20-11), points in the paint (36-32), second chance points (20-13), bench points (27-20), and fast break points (15-3)
SENIOR NIGHT HIGHLIGHT
Vason Stevenson scored his first career points on Senior Night with a pair of free throws with 1:44 remaining. The McKees Rocks, Pa., native was a two-year walk-on with the Panthers before earning a scholarship this season.
FIRST TIMER
Marlon Barnes, Jr. buried a corner three late in the game for his first career basket.
